Research for Future

For centuries, research has created reliable knowledge about our environment and ourselves, our coexistence, our past and our future. Today, virtually all man-made objects in our environment are based on scientific research.
While at the beginning of the last century, comparatively few people studied a manageable number of subjects, today, the research landscape is extremely differentiated: each scientific discipline is divided into many more sub-disciplines. This makes it increasingly difficult for lay people, as well as for experts in one subject, to understand research results and projects from other sub-disciplines. With the “Research for Future” section on our blog, we want to provide insights into the research projects of our fellows in a way that is easily understandable and show how they contribute to making our future better.
